March for Life Bias: You Won't Believe It Until You See it Yourself

While media bias is nothing new when it comes to the March for Life, CBS's DC bureau has taken it to a new low this year. One strategy has always been to report that "abortion supporters and protesters converged on Washington today to mark the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade." The play up that "both sides" of the abortion debate showed up, when the reality of the situation is that hundreds of thousands are pro-life vs a couple hundred pro-aborts if that.

On Monday, the day of the March, CBS's local site for the DC posted a photo essay entitled "Activists Hold Annual March For Life On Roe v. Wade Anniversary." The photo essay contains seven photos, ALL SEVEN OF WHICH are of pro-aborts, pro-abort signs, pro-abort slogans. Not a single picture of the March, the rally, the pro-life signs. Not a single picture of the ~400,000 pro-lifers that came to DC.

In all of the photos they posted of pro-aborts, the DIDN'T show the most disgusting sign from the abortion supporters - "Good Women Have Abortions."

If you can't believe it (as I couldn't) you can see it for yourself here.

  1. Amazing. Another thing I've noticed they do is to say, "Thousands of anti-abortion protesters ..." Makes you think maybe 3000 or 4000 right? Yet, thousands is still accurate. Next year maybe they'll say, "Dozens of anti-abortion wing-nuts ..."

  2. Not that I watch much news period, but this is the kind of delusional reporting that gave birth to Fox News and alternate internet media. Does anyone watch CBS anymore?

  4. Go to the links provided by Kresta In The Afternoon. You can leave a comment at CBS DC. I did.

But that's not good enough. The top guy at CBS DC needs to be told that this is not journalism. The person responsible probably did it just to tweak pro-lifers. He should be fired.

  5. CBS has taken significant corrective action: They've added a bunch of new photos of the actual March for Life to the gallery. Woo hoo!
