It would appear that the HHS mandate is only the beginning. Call it a testing of the water for more to come. After all, it’s a pretty easy spin from mandating contraception (and abortion) to having many confused people think that the Church is trying to deny some "right" to women. It is working very well.
ReplyDeleteThis Administration is ambitious and has many irons in the fire. They want to make sure three and four year old children have good food in school. (Three and four year olds are in school?) They are very concerned about environmental sustainability but not all that worried about financial sustainability, just to list a few.
Under these conditions it may be hard to see what’s on the horizon and on a collision course for the pro-lifers; euthanasia for seniors and the weak. End of life care is not only expensive but the suffering and misery of the dying is ugly and unnecessary. What rational person would want to see their loved one in pain or suffering from dementia for 2 years? Who would put themselves through such a trial if a compassionate solution was available? And then there are all those expenses, the consuming of precious resources otherwise needed to the poor.
We better fight now and we better fight hard against this mandate and anything close. Remember the State is educating the generation behind us starting at three.
