Germany: 100 members of parliament to boycott Pope’s speech

(CWNews.com) One hundred members of opposition parties have announced that they will boycott Pope Benedict’s speech to the German parliament.

“That is so small-minded that one doesn't know whether to laugh or to cry,” said Cardinal Joachim Meisner. “And the fact that they sit in parliament does not leave a positive mark on the noble representation of the German people.”
