Division among Lefebvrists cripples possible reconciliation with Rome

  1. I beg to differ with Rabbi Bemporad, who calls Bishop Williamson "crazy". Such words are never necessary, especially when one is trying to make a point.

From my personal experience with Bishop Williamson, and in support of him, I know that he DOES desire reconciliation. However, due to having been severely persecuted as a Traditional priest, then as a member of the Latin Mass community associated with the Society of St. Pius X, all I hear him saying now it -- "No! I will not accept more of the same from anyone in the Church!"

Does reconciliation mean he needs to bow to those he sees as destroying the Faith? This is indeed what is believed -- and in my own heart, this would be an unacceptable solution to the "problem" that the Holy Father faces.

Rabbi Bemporad knows well what a "problem" means when a group deemed "unacceptable" due to faith or heritage starts to act up. I am sorry that he resorts to name-calling to promote his side of the story -- which is.... "Forget about Bishop Williamson. He doesn't want to talk anyway."
