Catholics to Vote 3 to 1 Against Obama

obama and catholics1 Catholics to vote 3 to 1 against Obama
In the Leftist controlled media stories are shouted if they are helpful to Democrats, whispered if they are bad news for Democrats. This is an absolute axiom.
This is why a new poll commissioned by the American Life League (ALL) is so important. The poll conducted between August 15 and 19 spoke to 900 self-identified Catholic registered voters. There are few English language superlatives that can accurately portray the findings of this survey.
“Earth shaking” “Sea Change” “Devastating” read them and take your pick.
The story was whispered on a recent NPR segment and here’s why.
A stunning 27% of Catholics told the interviewers they support Barack Obama. This is a 27 point fall from 2008.
Seventy four percent (74%) of Catholic men over 50 refuse to support Obama.
Moreover an almost identical 25% of Catholic men under 50 support Obama and 31% of Catholic women under 50 support him. Catholic women over fifty support Obama at just a 23% rate.
Clearly Barack Obama’s plan to start a fight with Catholics is working but how can any Democrat be happy about the results? The ALL survey found that 73% of its Catholic registered voter respondents see the mandate Obama has placed on Catholic institutions (including Catholic hospitals and indeed the office of Cardinal Dolan) to commit abortions and distribute contraceptive devices as a violation of their religious freedoms.
This explains why Cardinal Dolan the leader of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops was told he is not welcome to attend the Democrats’ convention in Charlotte North Carolina next month.
This survey was conducted by cc Advertising of Centreville Virginia which claims a margin of error of +/- 3 points. Nevertheless, with numbers like this a 10 point MoE wouldn’t help Barack Obama and his Party. With Catholics who were 27% of the electorate in 2008 now intending to vote 3 to 1 against Obama there is very little chance of the president winning reelection in November.
Since 1948 no Democrat has ever won the presidency while losing the Catholic vote. Republicans Dwight Eisenhower and George W. Bush did it, but no Democrat has accomplished that goal. This year will be no different.

  1. My wife and I did not vote for him in 2008, and we will definitely NOT vote for him this November. I cannot understand why anyone, considering Obama's record, would even think of voting for him. Yes, you guessed it, we are both seniors.

  2. The Catholics that will vote for Obama really don't care what the Church teaches. They have their own moral standard and will not listen to the Church. Unfortunately, the Catholics I have spoken to regarding their support of Obama, have not a clue what Catholic teaching is, and don't support it when I tell them. It is a very sad commentary on the POOR formation of entire generations of Catholics.

  3. I voted Obama in 2008 because I wanted to give African Americans an opportunity to show their leadership. They definitely showed us.

    2. Obama hardly represents all African Americans! Especially with regard to abortion and so called 'gay' marriage.

  4. I voted for Obama because the thought of Palin stepping into office scared me.

  6. I surely hope that the poll is correct. We can't afford 4 more years of Obama.

  7. I am a conservative Protestant (christian reformed) and a graduate of Calvin College. We will need a Republican President and a Republican Senate to repeal the HHS Mandate. I am praying for that. We still face "the fiscal cliff" in January. We are going to have to develope simple lifestyles. I am a part of the Shaklee company. I use products that I feel are in harmony with a Natural Law philosophy. We will need a intelligent, but simple lifestyle, something like the Franciscans, in the future.

  8. I'm am a cradle Catholic, and I didn't vote for Obama not because of race, but because of policies. And I will not vote for him this time for the same reason, plus his wanting the killing of innocent unborn children.

  9. When I voted for him in 2008 I thought he would be the answer to the US problems. Now in this last year I have been really concerned about his sttitude of doing what ever he wants not what the people want. HIs support for the abortion clinics is turning our rivers of blood. I wonder what God thinks of us now with the killing of thousands of babies to be. Besides being wrong it causes untold heartache and pain for the mother who chose death instead of life.

  10. "A Nation that KILLS its own children is a Nation without hope." jP II Our current President and the people that do his bidding are wrong about more things than right! May God have mercy on the United States of America by giving us a new president in the White House come January. God will bless those who bless Him!!! Amen

  11. My number one issue with Obama is his failure to respect and defend life from its conception to natural death; my 2nd issue is his support of gay unions and even trying to elevate them to the holy matrimony that can only be ordained by God alone. All other issues such as the failing American economy, deficit, and debt, the unemployment rate, poverty level at all time high, homelessness, foreclosures, crime rates, drug trafficking and addiction issues, his failure to address immigration reforms, foreign policies, and wars, not to mention the Obamacare and Medicare issues, the list goes on and on, all these are secondly to the fundamental God given right to life and the stability of the family unit as designed by God.
