Apparently "civility" is at stake in today's MA special election for the Senate. On Tuesday’s Good Morning America, former Democratic-operative-turned-journalist George Stephanopoulos appeared glum about the prospects of Democrats in Massachusetts’ special Senate election. He intoned, "And White House and congressional Democrats are hoping for a miracle but they're expecting, right now, the Democrat, Martha Coakley to lose." Then reporter John Berman went on to report on what is at stake in this election. One of those items was "civility." Obama and Democrats representing bipartisanship and calm discourse, Brown and Republicans representing partisan, disrespectful, un-American hatred. Outrageous.
