Bishop John D'Arcy will not be attending the commencement ceremony for the Graduates of Notre Dame this year. He questions weather the University has chosen to put prestige before truth. Bishop D’Arcy wishes no disrespect to our President but at the same time, he must conduct himself as a Catholic leader who teaches by example as well as by word. Catholic teaching is consistent on matters of human life and the Church can not give honor to a person who actively promotes practices like abortion and embryonic destruction for the sake of harvesting stem cells.
