Can't you see how unfair that is? We are talking about two consenting adults, in a very "traditional" relationship, not something weird, just two people of the same sex who love each other, exactly as heterosexuals. It's just not that difficult for me to understand and it's basic decency to accept these people into the Church. We have bigger things to think about. Law, in the adult world, is not decided by opinions or wishes no matter how many may hold them, only when laws are passed. The law which was passed to say that sexual preference cannot be used in employment decisions should rightfully have granted exceptions for religious institution's employment. This kind of case went to the Supreme Court and the Church won. We believe that Jesus is God incarnate as a man. God is Truth. God/Truth doesn't change. So then you go and jump off a 30-story building, flapping your arms like a bird. All the polls and opinions and arguments about your "rights" won't do one darn thing to prevent you from splattering into pieces on the ground. Reality doesn't give a flip about your opinions one way or the other. Reality just IS.

The Church has passed down what Jesus taught His disciples; those disciples taught THEIR disciples; etc., etc., down to the present day. This is called the Magisterium, or teaching authority of the Church. Jesus breathed upon His disciples and called down the Holy Spirit on them. They have had His teaching authority ever since. They don't have His perfect freedom from sin in their personal lives -- because they are human, just as we are. But they do have teaching authority. We Catholics hear the voice of the Church as the voice of the Lord Jesus -- who is GOD, beyond which or above which there is nothing, since He contains all that is beyond and above!Resist the Mandatehttp://twitter.com/hhs_countdownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7708139263643046536.post-87677738258069424942013-05-04T23:39:35.617-04:002013-05-04T23:39:35.617-04:00If she isn't a lesbian then why did she react ...If she isn't a lesbian then why did she react this way instead of just saying the charges are not true?
