This comment is disturbing in light of the recent election. The majority of Catholics, including those who lead ACTS retreats and publish Catholic publications such as Today's Catholic, which put Julian Castro on its front page, are poorly catechized. The last thing we need is the clergy cheering on misinformed and ignorant Catholics. Once again, I fear our clergy are disengaging from the culture and ignoring their responsibility to lead the flock to heaven not hell. In my opinion, the clergy have been lax in speaking the "truth" and catechising from the pulpit.The clergy should be bold and focus on the fundamental truths from the pulpit and in church bulletins. It's no time to abdicate their responsibility to educate and lead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
